“Being a curious student to life itself & bringing more & more awareness to the mind & body, I naturally brought this more into my teaching.”

My journey begins in the UK, in quiet Lancashire, surrounded by a loving family and a deep connection to the outdoors, playing with my friends and caravanning around the beautiful English countryside. My childhood spent roaming the waterways and nature walks sparked my love for movement and exploration and I was drawn to the excitement of learning about the human body. I embraced sports at school but it wasn’t until I experienced the discipline and freedom of cross-country running that I started to realize how magnificent the mind and body was!

Welcome, my name is Sarah

Amongst my health and fitness interests, I always had a sense that there was much more to life beyond the body. And as the inevitable challenges and traumas of life came my way, I used movement as a lifeline and journeyed inwards, unlearning and reshaping and coming to know the truth of myself.

Seeking truth…

Leaving home to live abroad was a major turning point in my life, and I’ve had the privilege of teaching people from diverse backgrounds and helping them overcome challenges and build meaningful connections. Highlights have included organizing life-changing events like Tough Mudder in the Middle East and overcoming my fear of public speaking.

Now settled in Australia, I find peace in Yin Yoga, creative activities, nature walks, and time with friends, often losing track of time in deep connection. I’m passionate about natural health, reading insightful books, and supporting others in any way I can.

Finding purpose & people…

And along this journey so far, what I have learnt is that healing happens to us in the moments we slow down, connect with the body, the breath and our inner world. As it is with kindness and care that we can invite balance into our lives and allow what is true for us at any given moment. I look forward to serving you as together we discover the possiblity of each and every moment.

  • “Sarah’s classes are a calm oasis in a busy life. Sarah treats us all with great respect and gentleness, honouring our differences and ensuring everyone feels safe.”

  • “As a quite new member of Sarah’s stretch and strengthen classes I feel so welcomed and supported in growing my strength and confidence in my body. She is kind and caring and so good at keeping the flow of her class going with just the right amount of challenge and awareness for individual differences.”

    JO, Lennox Head

  • “What I love about Sarah's Stretch class is that it's not yoga or Pilates—it’s a true stretch class. Each session, Sarah focuses on a different part of the body, using fascia massage balls, stretch bands, and yoga blocks to help deepen the release. She gives clear directions before and during each exercise and offers modifications for those who need them. It’s the first time I’ve found a class that truly prioritises stretching in such an effective, accessible and gentle way.”

    DONNA, Murwillumbah

  • “I came across Sarahs Stretch and Strengthen when they were in the form of CHEGS. It was wonderful to come across these classes (sometimes I do 3 per week) just when I was searching for the exact exercises to enhance my lifestyle. Sarahs knowledge is remarkable. Sometimes I feel she is with me alone as she guides us through the classes eg "keep your neck straight" "breathe" (thats always a good one). I thank you Sarah for coming into my life as not only a super teacher but such a charismatic soul.”

    TRISHA, Lennox Head

  • “After our class on Wednesday I have been doing some myofasical release to massage the muscle on the outside of my shin. Thank you, it is really helping my knees. You are very special with all you do & I thank you.”

    PAULINE, Lennox Head

  • “Since I have been doing your classes in just a short time with your guidance I have noticed a significant difference in my well being and strength as well as my ability to be able to stretch a little further lift a little heavier and feel that with your continued guidance and classes this will only continue to improve and I will go into my 70th year feeling stronger and healthier. I take your advice and exercises given in our classes and have been continuing to do them at home each day(memory is improving). Thank you so much for your time and patience and your ability to adapt a class to suit all participants.”

    TRISHA, Byron Bay

  • “I have been going to classes with Sarah for more than 3 years. There are so many reasons why I go - to re-centre, for the diversity of people of all ages and fitness, there’s no pressure - you get out of it what you put in, for knowledge - you always learn something. It’s also social, relaxed and there’s variety - Sarah blends yin yoga, fascia ball trigger point massage, pilates, flexibility and balance stability. The class is fluid, feedback is appreciated and the class metamorphs to suit the participants. And Sarah cares and makes all feel welcome (and checks up on you if miss more than one class ). Sarah's approach and teaching style is refreshing, I recommend her to random people I connect with.”

    LARA, Ocean Shores

  • “Stretch and Strengthen classes are essential to my physical and mental fitness. The classes are thoughtfully planned each week to focus on different areas of the body, providing a strong base for all abilities as well as challenges for those who wish to extend themselves. Beyond Sarah's excellent professional technical knowledge and experience, is the extraordinary care she generously gives to every participant. She is an amazing human, who genuinely values others, offering kindness, thoughtfulness and gentle humour. I am very grateful at the start of every class, when I sit on my mat and see Sarah smiling at all of us.”

    CAROLYN, Byron Bay

  • “It is my overwhelming pleasure to share my experiences in Sarah’s Stretch and strengthen class. I’m 76 yrs old and a large women and when I started to join her classes my body was not in a good condition one part a hip replacement 4 yrs prior, not getting up off the floor…The movements Sarah taught me hurt in the beginning but now no more .Sarah, when there was an exercise I couldn’t perform, you gave me an alternate one. My body, limbs and joints have become more flexible, and pains I had were disappearing .I felt at ease watching listening and learning from you there was no pressure to do something my body couldn’t do …for that I think you so much I totally loved every session and always looked forward to seeing you.

  • “My experience with Sarah has been through her Stretch and Strengthen classes which I have attended since their inception, possibly three years (or more) now! I’ve not only seen her grow in this time but have also grown considerably myself, and as a senior citizen that’s not what I was expecting! Her thoroughness, incites, advice (when asked), dedication to her craft, and her gentle yet strong approach to teaching is a rare gift. On many occasions I’ve not particularly felt like exercising but never regret it when I do. Sarah's classes both relax me and realign my body, and in addition have connected me to my breath for the first time ever! A tremendous feat! She is a blessing to all who know her and has such a lot of wisdom and kindness to offer. Truly an angel!”

    JENNY, Byron Bay
